DAM NATION Year End List: 20 Most Anticipated Films of 2011

As 2010 winds down and the intensity of Oscar season heats up, it feels like an appropriate time to look ahead to the future: 2011.

Now, with every upcoming year in films, there's always something for film buffs and audiences to figure out what they want to see. But looking at this year’s tentative slate of box office hopefuls, one might think Hollywood is unoriginal. Shocking. Haha. Lots of sequels, threequels and prequels for next year and a couple of comic adaptations. Overall, the blockbuster releases look a little lackluster compared to what’s coming a year later. So, fingers crossed that 2011 is the year of surprises and sleeper hits.

Anyway, here's my list of the 20 most anticipated films of 2011. Please keep this in mind as you peruse the list though, my taste tends to skew more towards the summer monstrosities and mainstream (potentially) big hits than “elevated” fare. So, it is what is it is.

I'm totally looking forward to see #18, #17, #14, #7, #6, #5, #4 and X-Men: First Class. =D

And The Green Hornet because Analeigh Tipton is there too.

HP7 for me, of course. Dying to see it.

Pao: Yeah! I heard about Analeigh being part of The Green Hornet. That's pretty exciting actually. I was rooting for her during that cycle and it's nice that she's getting enough exposure after the show. She's also part of a Steve Carell/Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone movie.

Will: I'm not entirely a fan. But I'm excited. Not dying though. Haha.
