Oh, and are they forcing these contestants to have some sort of sob package before they audition? Robbery. Injuries. Racism. Virus. These backstories are getting out of hand. Haha. What's next? Alien abduction?
Anyway, let’s see how the contestants this episode,
Adriana is a very attractive girl and seems to have a great natural quality to her tone. Strong voice if a little too affected, which can be dangerous when you need to vary your tone from song to song. I digress though as she seriously has a very marketable sound and that X Factor - Oops. Talking about a different show. Haha. 8/10
Technically, this guys is very good. Pure tone, strong voice and he showed a good degree of vocal control. Not sure if it was too generic for a country singer, but let's see how he does in the Battle Rounds. 6/10
I don't know why, but I fell in love with this audition. I love his voice. His control was superb and his tone was incredibly rich. He could be a competitor if he plays his cards right and doesn’t have any bad breaks. I'm a fan. 8.5/10
His voice is quirky and all, but I fear it might be too weak to compete in the later rounds. Not a fan of that slight hitch in his voice and the audition actually felt a little tentative. 5/10
Average. I strongly predict that he won’t make it far in this competition. Sorry. 5/10

Personally, I would have rather had this episode be 2 hours again, instead of having 3 nights with two 1 hour shows. This especially goes for next week when The Voice, X-Factor, AND Survivor are all on at the same time on Wednesday.
Tonight was rather dull for me. Aquille was probably the best of the night, and for the most part I liked him. He did have a few moments where he did "vocal gymnastics" which I absolutely hate, otherwise he was pretty good.
Everyone else was either average or bad (McKenzie... was not impressed at all). But this is pretty typical for The Voice. Seems like last season was the same way... the first show was packed with talent.. after that it was pretty much average singers.
